#505 Bellaire OMN AKA Octagon, sugar missing the lid, circa 1912

Bellaire, Ohio in 1876 and moved to Findlay, Ohio in 1888. It joined the U. S. Glass Co. combine in 1891 as Factory M. It was out of business by 1892. It is 4 1/2 tall and 4 1/4 across. The 2 mold lines go up the side and around the inside of the handle but not the outside of the handle. I am guessing because handle has been cut and polished. The glass quality is average for EAPG with the normal bubbles and straw marks, which seems odd with the cut and polished handles. It does glow for what that is worth. Donated by Jim W |
