This grouping started with the small vaseline gypsy pot, and just grew as I found them. The toughest thing to find is the lids. ADAMS called these KETTLE, NO. 2 and KETTLE, NO. 3. No. 2 is 2 1/2" without the lid, and is 3" wide. These are collected without lids by toothpick holder collectors. They were also made in clear, and so far, both sizes in clear have eluded me (but am open to a purchase if you know where they are!). The lid is over 1/2 of the value on these pieces, as they were easily dropped. The larger piece has a slot for a small spoon. The ad on the left shows what they looked like in the 1891 U.S. Glass catalog, but the colored versions were only made in the early 1880s when Adams was making colored glass.
