This is the largest piece of vaseline cut glass that I have in my collection. It is a very simplistic cut and is absolutely without a single flaw or chip. It is 5 7/8" tall, and 6 1/4" top diameter. Maker is unknown, but it is in the style of cutting known as REGENCY, which was during the mid 1800s in the United Kingdom.
Most cut vaseline glass is a very rich yellow color. This one is unusual in that it is a very pale yellow. It is the only example I have of a very pale yellow (big or small). The cut glass from Bohemia (1840s - 1860s and again during the early 1900s) is a very bright yellow-green. The cut vaseline from England/UK is the rich yellow, except this bowl. I only give it attribution to the REGENCY period because of the style of cutting.
